JOB TITLE: Team PA

WORKING PATTERN: Based in the LDC office in Manchester
About this opportunity:
As Team PA you’ll be requir ed to provide proactive and professional PA/administrative/deal support to 4/5 Investment Directors and Managers.
Lloyds Development Capital (“LDC”) is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group (“LBG”). The LDC Group structure is a combination of corporate entities (operating/holding companies) and partnerships (funds and general partner).
LDC is the most active mid-market private equity investor, investing £2m-£100m in medium sized private companies with ambitious, entrepreneurial management teams with the objective is to realise capital gains by sale of these companies, typically within 3-5 years.
It is important that PA services are delivered to the business in a manner which is consistent with the increasingly competitive environment in which the firm operates. The role is intended to embrace a team-working approach, collaborating with other members of support staff to fulfil the needs of the business.
As Team PA, you’re responsibilities will include:
  • Diary management for 4/5 busy Investment Directors including booking all travel. Prepare an itinerary and papers for individuals for their day/week ahead.
  • Arranging lunches/dinners and other meetings and ensuring meeting rooms, catering, restaurants etc are booked
  • Acting as main point on Reception and managing front of house including ordering supplies, receiving visitors, providing refreshments and ensuring meeting rooms are tidy and stocked.
  • Processing invoices and expenses in timely manner, including chasing for appropriate sign-off.
  • Organising marketing events and offsites, both internal and client events; (managing guest lists, sourcing venues, arranging catering, menu tasting, IT equipment, photographer, travel and accommodation and budgeting etc).
  • Organising conference calls and video conferences.
  • Ensuring all Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality items are logged receive the required local and Compliance approval.
  • Maintain contacts, new business and portfolio databases and ensure best practice is followed
  • Maintain local files and archives to ensure compliant with audit regulations
  • Ensure the above are aware of their mandatory training and HR responsibilities and remain up to date.
  • Produce research material and analysis using online information providers
  • Telephone management including overspill of switchboard, recording all contacts, taking and passing on messages and responding to queries wherever possible
  • Prioritise work effectively by virtue of urgency and importance
  • Accurate and timely preparation of presentations and reports (including proof reading), using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software to meet internal deadlines
  • Ensuring high quality printing, binding and distribution of reports
  • Assist in the finalisation of investment committee documents and other presentations in particular ensuring that documents are in the correct format and on brand
  • Flexibility to support the wider LDC team as required

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrable track record of organisation and administration skills
  • Proficient use of Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Excel
  • Proven ability to prioritise effectively and juggle conflicting deadlines
  • Some understanding of Private Equity
  • Organisational awareness and understanding of LDC structure and culture.
