We are looking for a strong Administrator to work closely with the Technical Manager in ensuring food safety compliance within the business.
This is a MON-FRI office based Permanent position located in Northolt.
Your role will be focused on administrative tasks creating, maintaining, and updating records, labels and product specifications. Assisting to comply with the relevant regulation's relation to the storage and distribution of food products.
Role Responsibilities
Under direction of the Technical Manager provide support and guidance to ensure food safety and product labelling compliance in accordance with regulations, customer and business requirements.
Assist with technical training of relevant staff ensuring full understanding of all food safety, quality and legal requirements and Internal Processes and Procedures.
Carry out finished goods product checks against artwork or product specification at goods intake.
Work closely with the warehouse to ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety, hygiene and internal procedures are followed.
Work closely with the Marketing Department to ensure that all product labels, artwork and specifications are compliant with existing legislation and requirements.
Collate Packaging Data for internal and external data reporting.
Organise sample for product testing
Assist Technical Manager on critical projects and be able to manage and prioritise.
Action customer requests related to product details in a timely manner.
Collaboratively work with suppliers to ensure Product and Packaging Specifications are completed and assist where necessary.
To assist with Artwork Approval Process from start to finish.
Represent and work from a technical perspective on NPD/EPD.
Efficiently handle and manage customer complaints liaising with suppliers and customers.
Skills/Experience
Essential
Degree in Food/Nutrition/Product Development or similar/experience of working in a similar role with Food Products
Proven IT skills and ability to demonstrate working knowledge if MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Great attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment towards continuous improvement and service excellence
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise and manage workload
Desirable
1-2 year experience within the food industry or in a similar role
Understanding or experience of BRC requirements.
HACCP - Level 2/Level 3
Experience of UK labelling compliance or UK labelling requirements
