About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
We are seeking a Technical Lead to provide technical oversight of the contract(s), including the surveillance of technical documentations, the management and the resolution of open-points and changes related to Design, Manufacturing and Qualification. This is a key role within our embedded team based at our Bri stol office location. Hybrid working will be possible between the office and home around project commitments. Key responsibilities will be:
- Leading technical meetings
- Technical surveillance and resolution of issues/queries
- Review and approval of contractor deliverables and design where necessary
- Review of non-conformances and exemptions requests, open points, design changes
- Control and Management of the evolution of the contract and design changes
- Review and approval of contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
- Liaise with RD and client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions/systems
- Liaise with RD and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
Here's What You'll Need:
- Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design
- Knowledge and experienced in Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Design, Manufacture and Operations
- Technical background on tank design, waste process equipment
- Understanding of Equipment interfaces (safety case, systems engineering, CDM)
- Contract management and documentary surveillance
- Experience using change-management, commercial and deliverable management systems (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) is advantageous
- Master's degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline
