We are currently looking for a Tender Administratorto join the team at our Head Offices in Abergavenny. Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Penarth, Barry, Porthcawl, Neath, Usk, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Llanfoist, Bristol, Chepstow, and Pontypridd.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Head of Preconstruction, the Tender Administratorwill support bid managers and the wider preconstruction team in the administration, preparation and submission of tenders.
On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Tender Administrator will include the following (not exhaustive):
- Assisting the preconstruction team with administrative duties
- Downloading tender documents, monitoring tender amendments and distributing to the preconstruction team
- Uploading tender queries as identified by the preconstruction team
- Supporting the preconstruction team with the administration associated with the completion, production and submission of prequalification and tender submissions
- Supporting bid managers, estimators, planners, business development, operational staff and directors with administrative duties and other responsibilities relating to preconstruction
- Uploading tender documentation and proposals to various client portals
- Ensuring tenders and company information are filed in accordance with preconstruction processes
- Supporting the preconstruction team in maintaining an up to date list of business development opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Tender Administratorwho can demonstrate good IT skills (namely in Microsoft packages), be able to display good time management and organisational skills, and be comfortable when required to work to urgent deadlines.
If you have previous administration experience, namely in the construction industry, this would be beneficial. An understanding of tender portals and construction industry terminology would also be desirable.
