General requirements:
- Be able to work well in a team
- Preferably some sort of Trade Mark experience at a previous firm
- Outstanding written English and Grammar
- Ambitious and always looking to provide the best possible customer service
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tasks
- Understanding of UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO is important
- CITMA paralegal qualification would be a bonus but not essential
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with clients and giving them excellent service
- Actively liaising with lawyers/attorneys over the status of Trade Mark applications and oppositions
- Handling, reviewing and interpreting correspondence from trademark registries and overseas lawyers, including docketing of any important deadlines
- Engaging with other paralegal staff
- Pro-actively managing renewals and maintenance requirements, including requesting instructions from clients, and filing renewal applications
- Diary management
- Assist in responding to client queries
