Transactional Finance Manager

A fantastic permanent opportunity for a full time Transactional Finance Manager position based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Description

The duties include:

• Lead the finance operations teams which includes; office ledger; purchase ledger and client account
• This involves management of 4 direct reports with responsibility for a team of over 30
• Ensuring exemplary data integrity and maximising the use of systems
• Work with the team managers to allocate resource appropriately, ensuring continuity of service particularly at busy periods or during absences whilst ensuring delivery of an accurate, quality service to the wider business and appropriately dealing with queries as they arise.
• Responsibility for the transaction teams processes and policy documentation, ensuring the maintenance of appropriate internal controls and compliance
• Take overall responsibility for the various reconciliations produced by the teams (eg bank reconciliations, supplier statements etc) and any payment runs
• To be the main point of contact for operational finance issues and to investigate areas as required with an appropriate response and corrective action in a timely manner.
• Work closely with IT and the finance projects team to ensure smooth transition of acquisitions into the day-to-day financial processes
• Work closely with team managers and IT to co-ordinate and plan system updates ensuring adequate testing before delivery into the live environment
• Liaise with the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager to ensure both accurate and timely delivery of month/year end deadlines and tax compliance
• Ad-hoc projects as and when they arise.

Job Offer

This role is looking to pay up to £70,000 + Parking + Pension + Progression
