• Hours of Work (6.00am-18.00pm) Monday to Saturday earlier finish’s Saturday morning

Our Client are currently looking for Transport Planner to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis.

Transport Planner - Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day to day running and management of the Transport Department.
• Health and safety
• Vehicle damages such as accidents, costings, repairs, records
• Routing, scheduling & planning of all drivers (internal / external)
• Vehicle Inspection & maintenance planning
• Maintaining company policies & procedures
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
• Carry out effective communications
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Monitor Drivers hours / working time, Drivers fitness / health.
• Weekly Fuel expenditure & record keeping
• Maintain a record keeping: licencing/qualifications, training, fleet maintenance.

Transport Planner - Skills and Experience:

• Positive, Motivated and pro-active
• A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
• Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information
• working knowledge of ISYS/Weighsoft or a similar system
• good geographical knowledge and understanding of the routing process
• At least 1/2 years’ experience working within the Transport & Logistics sector
• A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must
• Cpc holder (bonus not essential)
