Job description

Job Introduction

What you’ll do

Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of excellent services to residents, irrespective of tenure. Your team will manage Notting Hill Genesis’ homes where an internal or external  agent is in place to manage the places and estates. Undertaken through various legal relationships, both you and your team will need to skilfully navigate the role you play.  For some schemes you may be the client to a Managing Agent providing instruction and for others NHG may hold the role of leaseholder advocating for our sub lessees/tenants on all matters. Contract management skills and working through stakeholders will be paramount.

We support flexible working arrangements that foster collaboration, combined with the power of in-person interactions. We will expect your officers to be on patch, meeting with residents and stakeholders at least 2 days a week, with the majority of the rest of the time working in the office alongside their colleagues. Some working from home, on non-set days, where colleagues are consistently meeting performance outcomes, is also supported. To lead you team effectively, we expect the same working arrangements from you.

How you’ll do it

You’ll adapt to differing levels of knowledge, understanding and experience, driving team cohesion and creating an environment that fosters a self-serving culture leading to high levels of team performance.
You’ll use your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to recognise different roles and responsibility at play. With your team managing properties across London, you’ll need to keep residents and NHG safe by ensuring agents are compliant with health & safety obligations.

The Ideal Candidate

We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation.

You’ll be passionate about leading and empowering a team of leasehold and housing management professionals and actively use your experience in managing external stakeholder performance to drive your team to meet KPIs and a high level of resident satisfaction.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills for drafting complex correspondence and reports.
  • Strong financial and budget management skills.
  • IRPM (associate) or other property management qualification or equivalent.
