SalaryOur client, a highly respected Stockport employer, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. The hours of work are Monday Friday, 2pm 10pm (we could possibly make that slightly longer Monday to Thursday and an 8pm finish on a Friday if that is needed). The role is to look after a small team, generally no more than 5 on shift at any one time, ensuring team performance and that business deadlines are met. Duties will involve: -
- Managing the warehouse team to ensure that orders are picked and dispatched in an efficient manner
- Managing goods in / goods out procedures to ensure the swift loading / unloading of wagons
- Ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
- Training and development of staff
- Ensuring that the warehouse is clean and tidy and that all consumables are in place
- Assisting with staff appraisals, absence reporting, return to work interviews, etc
The role would suit someone who has a strong background in logistics and warehousing, who is an excellent team player with a positive attitude and someone who is deadline driven and practical by nature. They offer GBP28-32k salary and an excellent benefits package.
