Your role:
Piers Morgan Uncensored is looking for a digital producer to work on its fast-growing YouTube channel. Applicants should be fanatical about the platform, with bags of creative ideas for winning thumbnails, punchy sells and clever strategies to maximise our popular content. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their prior success in growing a YouTube channel, no matter what the niche. You’ll be encouraged to work closely with the editorial team and talent; pitching ideas for content and bookings.
Day to day you will:
Proficiency in using YouTube Analytics to track key metrics such as watch time, audience retention, traffic sources, and demographic data. Ability to analyse this data to gain insights into viewer behaviour and content performance.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and techniques as they apply to YouTube, including keyword research, metadata optimization, and video tagging. Experience optimising video content to improve search rankings and discoverability.
Knowledge of YouTube's advertising policies, monetization options, and revenue generation strategies. Experience with ad placement, sponsorships, brand partnerships, and other methods of monetizing YouTube channels.
Thumbnail Optimization: Understanding of thumbnail optimization techniques to maximise click-through rates and improve video visibility. Knowledge of best practices for thumbnail layout, composition, and design elements that entice viewers to click on videos.
Understanding the importance of mobile optimization in thumbnail design, considering factors such as image clarity, text legibility, and visual impact on smaller screens. Designing thumbnails that are attention-grabbing and easy to view on mobile devices.
What we’re looking for from you:
Experience managing YouTube channels
Deep understanding of YouTube platform dynamics, algorithms, and best practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging with online communities.
Creative thinker with a track record of developing innovative content ideas and strategies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
