About the role
This is an opportunity to join an exciting Film and TV distribution company across a wide range of projects in a hands-on junior position.
The Channel Manager sits across and supports both Operations and Sales teams, ensuring that Film and TV titles are delivered and managed correctly across all channels and platforms. They should have a passion for a wide range of Film and TV content and be keen to learn.
Contract: Permanent, after 6 month probation
Hours: Full-time, around 35 hours per week
Main responsibilities
- Creating avails/submissions for all digital platform partners such as Google, Microsoft, BT, Curzon Home Cinema, BFI Player, Sky, Virgin Media
- Co-ordinating platform orders and selections, updating and maintaining tracking spreadsheets
- Setting up metadata for titles where needed on certain platforms
- Running promotional activity and pricing on digital platforms
- Carry out weekly title checks to ensure film/tv content goes live, liaising with platforms if any issues occur
- Creating and sharing sales emails with platforms (marketing, PR, box office info)
- Liaising with platforms to ensure dates are correct, materials are delivered on time and any additional queries
- Troubleshooting issues with materials – discussing with the
- Operations team and tech partners as well as clients
- Keep clients up to date with weekly Operations emails
- Attend weekly operations catch up meetings with the tech lab
- Managing the rights removal process, ensuring titles are removed from digital platforms when rights expire
- Creating sales slides for titles to be presented to broadcasters/platforms
- Managing TMP website, adding new titles
- Creating artwork adapts for new releases
- Applying for movie certification in certain territories, and uploading screeners to Vimeo and other services.
- Maintaining and updating TMPs Social Media Channels
- Any ad-hoc tasks requested by operations and sales team
Role requirements
- Must be London-based and able to travel to London based office for weekday working as required.
- Strong attention to detail, with capacity to build a thorough understanding of data management including data input.
- Outgoing personality with a strong interest in relationship building
- Strong desire to learn new things and develop skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels of careers/stakeholders.
- Proficient utilization of Microsoft Office (including Excel) with knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
- Must be a motivated self-starter who can prioritize and complete multiple tasks at a time.
- Passion for cinema and a keen interest in the entertainment industry.
