Our company is a leading player in the construction and electrical industry. We specialise in delivering high-quality projects, from residential buildings to large-scale infrastructure. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team on a Maternity Cover contract.
Your new role
- Prepare, review, and distribute interfirm invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and system checks.
- Review invoices received from member firms for correctness and tax compliance.
- Process member firm payment transmittals and update banking records.
- Manage the inbox for interfirm billings and payments.
- Maintain the Master AR and AP files.
- Reconcile VAT on Inter Office Billing (IOB) files.
- Develop and maintain interfirm billing account reconciliations.
- Monitor profit and loss and balance sheet accounts related to interfirm transactions.
- Liaise with Member Firm Accounting staff.
- Provide training and advice on processes to ensure reconciliation of open interfirm AP and AR accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA.CIMA.ACA
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in private or public accounting.
- Certification in construction accounting is preferred
