Reed Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a successful business outside Lisburn and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to support within the finance team.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, office based.
This would be a brilliant opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is eager to take the next step in their career and develop their skills and experience.
Professional study support with ATI would be considered.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will assist with the day to day running of the accounts
department.
Specific duties will include:
Ownership of the purchase and sales ledger and building and maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers and customers
Check, query and accurately input supplier invoices into the finance system
Code invoices to nominal ledger and service jobs
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
Work with Parts and Service Teams to resolve any parts issues, price, and quantity variances
Prepare BACS payment runs
Handle all purchase enquires with suppliers
Raise sales and job cost invoices
Post payments and assist in management of credit control
Run monthly customer statements
Assist with customer and intercompany enquires in a professional manner
Completion of bank reconciliations
Assist the Financial Controller with fleet management and stock management
Assist with financial reporting and analysis
Assist in the preparation of VAT and Intrastat returns
Contribute to the ongoing development and streamlining of the accounting systems and procedures
Maintenance and upkeep of filing systems and records
Any other Administrative duties
Critical Skills Required:
Attention to detail, inquisitive mind, and ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong communication skills
Ability to work within a team
Strong IT skills and able to support with system implementation
Qualifications and Experience required:
1-2 years previous experience within a finance role
Experience working with stock and job costing an advantage
