Accounts Manager

Are you an experienced Accounts Manager / Finance Manager looking for a part time role?
BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with an established business in Gateshead who are looking to recruit a part time (16 - 24 hrs) Accounts Manager on a permanent contract.

As Accounts Manager, you will take charge of supervising the daily accounting procedures. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly and yearly management accounts to offer assistance to the senior management team. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will analyze financial information, produce reports, pinpoint potential avenues for enhanced profitability throughout the company, and introduce procedures for cost variance and forecasting.
This role is part time 16 - 24 hours per week and working times can be negotiated to suit.
Job Duties include:

• Manage the full accounting function with assistance from a junior member of staff.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, meeting deadlines for a comprehensive assessment of the company's financial performance.
• Cash flow forecasting
• Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll, reconciling control accounts, and ensuring compliance with HMRC reporting.
• Maintaining fixed asset register
• VAT reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Perform cost and variance analysis
• Balance Sheet reporting and analysis

Person Specification:
- Holds a professional accounting qualification (AAT / Part Qualified / Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Good Excel skills
- Supervisory / management experience (desirable)
