SalaryAn experienced Accounts Payableclerk required to join our client on a temp too perm basis. Accounts Receivable duties will be part of the role, however candidates with pure AP experience will be considered. Working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (37.5 hours) on an annual salary of 23,500 - 26,300.
Please note this is an office based role.
Duties:
- Accept invoices from suppliers and apply those sums to cost accounting
- Assembly, review and verification of invoices and payment requests
- Monitor the finance email inbox
- Establish payment cycles
- Evaluate suppliers performance
- Sort invoices and expense claims
- Enter invoices
- Prepare and process electronic transfer and payments
- Reconcile purchase ledger and supplier statements
- All other Accounts Payable administrative tasks
- Track and receive incoming payments and apply to customer accounts
- Carry out daily cash count and manage banking
- Post incoming payments received onto various systems
- Raise and process all sales ledger invoices
- All other accounts receivable duties
- Payroll data input is required to cover annual leave

Experience required:
- Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience
- Previous Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger experience
- Previous experience using Sage 200 is desirable
- Understanding of basic bookeeping
- Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
- PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
