Accounts Payable Assistant
Do you have a basic knowledge of accounts functions and tasks?
We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant based in Chelmsford, working full time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week. You will also have hybrid working available to you, with 3 days from home and 2 in the office (Tuesdays and Fridays). The company are looking for someone who is hard working and willing to learn, with the ability to multitask, as this is a fast-paced environment.
Duties will include:
* Process purchase invoices
* Creating and updating supplier records
* Prepare and process weekly payment run
* Process manual payments daily
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Assist with managing the finance inbox
* Distribute supplier invoices for approval
* Dealing with internal and external queries
* Managing supplier accounts
* Process employees expenses
* Weekly bank reconciliations
* Assist with month end close
* Ad hoc finance administrative duties
As you can see from the list above you will gain some incredible experience, while working for a great company who are willing to train and develop you within accounts. Ideally you will have a basic understanding of accounts, and being an AAT studier would be an advantage, although not essential if you have some experience already.
You will be offered a starting salary of £23,000 and would be working in a supportive and well-established organisation.
