Office Administrator – PART TIME
Introduction: Harrogate Golf Club, a prestigious Private Members Golf Club situated between Harrogate and Knaresborough, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our office team as an Office Administrator on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations and the development of services for our valued members and visitors.
Reporting to the Club Secretary, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient office operations, supporting various administrative functions, and acting as a key point of contact for club members and visitors, offering efficient and friendly assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth daily operations of the private members golf club.
- Handle day-to-day office tasks, including correspondence, data entry, and document management.
- Supervise visitor and society bookings to ensure the smooth running of their visit.
- Assist the Club Secretary in setting up Tee Sheet, Competitions, and Fixture lists.
- Coordinate and administer competitions and club matches as required, ensuring setup on relevant digital platforms.
- Assist with membership renewals and new members administration.
- Address queries promptly and accurately to enhance member experience.
- Assist with the preparation of the weekly Members Newsletter and other internal communications as required.
- Supervise the club's digital platforms, including the website and digital noticeboard, to ensure current and relevant information.
Person Specification
- Previous administrative experience essential, and familiarity with Golf Clubs and/or hospitality sector desirable
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a private members golf club
