Are you the Admin Assistant we have been looking for? Haringey Education Partnership (HEP) wants to recruit an exceptional candidate to support its small but dynamic team focused on school improvement services in London.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the administration, organisational and financial processes within HEP:
General Admin
- Act as a point of contact for members, clients and suppliers via email, over the phone and in person regarding items such as password setting, booking training and supporting membership queries
- Deal with telephone, email and face-to-face enquires efficiently and in a professional and supportive manner
- Respond to questions and requests for information from member schools
- Communicate effectively and accurately with a wide range of people, from senior management to customers and suppliers
- Attend meetings as needed to take minutes and manage correspondence associated with meetings
- Organise and distribute incoming and outgoing post
- Order, monitor and manage office stocks and supplies
- Monitor and maintain accurate records as needed
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of HEP
- Work closely with the Admin team and Communications team to support with workstreams
Visitors and events
- Prepare meetings rooms and training rooms as necessary and support management of training resources
- Welcome visitors to the building and showing them to meetings and training events
- Support visitors/trainers as needed for the duration of the meetings
- Support event management such as training courses, away days and conferences
- Support the management of online events
Comms/digital
- Basic website maintenance and updating of member records and bookings
- Support the development of a wide range of communication materials, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, newsletters, social media and web content
Skills and experience
Essential
- Experience of business support or office administration
- Ability to confidently communicate effectively and accurately with a wide range of people, from senior management to customers and suppliers
- Ability to accurately transcribe messages and record information over the phone or in person
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Package, Google Docs and Zoom
- Data entry skills and knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Desirable
- Experience working in an education setting
- Good numeracy skills
