We are seeking a dedicated Service Desk Advisor to join our client's team located on the outskirts of Southampton. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the delivery of exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring a prompt and effective response to all tasks, supporting our field-based personnel in maintaining service excellence, and actively contributing to business growth.
Flexibility is key, as you may be required to assist in various sections within the department based on evolving needs. Each team member is accountable for the efficient operation of their designated area, with performance evaluated on both an individual and team basis. While initiative and attention to detail are crucial, collaboration with the Service Manager will be essential to address any ongoing issues.
Key Duties:
- Handle customer and supplier calls efficiently.
- Manage and coordinate the workload of engineers.
- Schedule routine maintenance calls on a monthly basis.
- Keep customers informed about delivery dates and any changes to pre-arranged plans.
- Prepare and manage quotations for remedial work.
- Source and order materials, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Adhere to response time commitments whenever possible.
- Daily email communication of job details to engineers.
- Price worksheets and invoice customers using SAGE account software (training provided if needed).
- Raise supplier purchase orders and allocate them to jobs.
- Process engineer work sheets on a daily basis.
- Generate maintenance renewal quotes and set up contracts.
- Perform general day-to-day administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent office experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative background.
- Previous experience in a service desk role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
