Salary: £20,821-23,933 per annum (dependent upon apprenticeship level)

Overview of the role:
We are looking for a candidate who would like to develop their career in Quantity Surveying. They will help to be responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by L&Q, ensuring that general quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard and ensuring full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms L&Q.
The apprenticeship learning will support your development and chosen career path. Whilst undertaking your learning programme, your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work, a mentor will provide extra support throughout your role, and you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands-on, work-based skills.
The Apprentice Project Quantity Surveyor will:
Report directly into the Project Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor and will be responsible for working in conjunction with the team to ensure cost control.
Take ownership of projects as required.
Management of supply chain to always achieve best value for our customers.
Learning and beginning to implement contractor management techniques.
Willingness to learn how to measure subcontractor accounts and implementing cost control techniques.
Skills and Experience:
Enthusiasm for the role and L&Q.
Strong analytical skills.
Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player.
Good organisational skills and ability to manage/prioritise own workload.
Good problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn and grow with a positive attitude to work
Ideally GCSEs in English and Maths, Grade C / Grade 4 or above.
We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
Apprenticeship details: Level 3 Surveying Technician, Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician or Level 6 Quantity Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship – depending on the education level of the successful applicant.
