Apprenticeships Manager
Basic up to £66,000 pa (higher for London)
Plus benefits circa £80k
Hybrid role, locations considered London, Southampton, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester Newcastle Bristol.
This role is to bring in fresh skills with members who have a great end to end experience, and also help our existing members to reskill in areas that are of interest and/or strategic importance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation of key education changes e.g. integrated degree apprenticeships and their impact on our schemes, including upskilling managers and mentors internally
- Manage and influence key relationships with EPAOs as well as Training Providers.
- Depending on the nature of the issue, act as a senior escalation point for troubleshooting/issue management with training provider
- Partner with internal Skills Networks to audit current provision
- Review training providers, including influencing key modules
- Linking in with Skills Networks, Future Skills Lead, Talent Acquisition and Professional Institutions to influence standards
- Design and deliver career development/progression frameworks for those undertaking Apprenticeships
- Continuously review and analyse apprenticeships to ensure they are meeting their aims, success targets (incl. completion rates) and remain relevant in a fast-changing world
- Develop a healthy pipeline of mentors that are active and engaged in apprenticeship development.
- Manage and report on our Levy contributions, ensuring value for money and return on investment, and highlighting potential risk of overspend if applicable
Requirements and skills
- Strong communication skills
- A naturally collaborative approach and seeks to build relationships with key stakeholders
- A passion for the Apprenticeship agenda and its potential to raise an organisations’ collective excellence
- Courage to hold the user experience at the centre of their work, alongside many other competing priorities
- A desire to increase the profile of apprenticeships
- A strong understanding of the UK education and skills agenda, including the legislative requirements associated with apprenticeship programmes and Apprentice Levy
- Experience working in professional services organisations/organisations with an agenda on supporting future skills would be beneficial.
