Assistant Systems Accountant

An Assistant Systems Accountant is required to join a robust finance team to support and drive financial systems within a not for profit and charities organisation. A Bedford based role, this position will provide the successful candidate with rewarding work in a supportive environment.

Description

Assistant Systems Accountant Duties.

• Closing down ledgers for month end: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger
• Balance sheet reconciliations and Payroll submissions to pay Consultants for Private work carried out
• Posting journals for month end adjustments including accruals
• Uploading Payroll and Stores Issue data to the Ledger
• Working with the Financial Controller to process weekly payment runs
• Generating same day payments via Bankline
• Resolving issues with eFinancials, eProcurement and Business Objects with assistance from OneAdvanced
• Creating and amending supplier and customer accounts
• Ad hoc duties

Profile

A successful Assistant Systems Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proficiency in financial software and systems
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
