JOB PURPOSE

To assist with the on-going provision of Real Estate Finance products to the bank’s existing customer base as well as potential new clients.

Specifically to work with the RMs to prepare outline terms, submissions to credit (both new proposals and assistance with annual reviews), all aspects of documentation and due diligence and on-going monitoring including periodic KYC reviews.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To support the Private Banking team in respect of all Real Estate Finance.
• Strengthen and support major Commercial and Residential Property transactions.
• Attending client meetings and site visits to discuss and formulate client loan facility applications and on-going client relationships.
• To act as key point of contact with the Bank’s external professional advisors (solicitors, valuers etc.) to establish and progress customers facility requirements. This will include close liaison with Group Legal
• To assist with the preparation of all credit applications for all Real Estate Finance transactions including any interim covenant exception requests.
• To oversee and assist with the preparation of all facility letters to customers following receipt of credit approval.
• Consideration of client requests for any waivers or matters requiring bank consent
• Undertake product and market research as required.
• Review profitability of selected accounts under the directions of the Head of Private Banking London and Private Banking RMs.
• Monitor major existing and new Real Estate facilities ensuring compliance with each sanction requirements and maintenance of credit quality to include covenant compliance
• Monitoring of on-going developments to include attendance with the bank appointed project monitor at monthly project meetings
• To assist the Private Banking RMs to ensure all customers are on-boarded in full compliance with documented CDD procedure.
• To ensure all business is transacted in a ‘compliant, safe & sustainable’ manner.
• To report instances of non-adherence to the HoC & MLRO
• Full adherence (where applicable) to the London Branch Relationship Manager Responsibilities Guideline

Qualifications & Experience:

• Arabic speaking is required for this job
• Good experience of UK and in particular London property market transactions
• Relevant Product and Security Documentation knowledge
• Strong credit, analytical and presentational skills
• Good personal communication skills, team player with first class presentation to customers
• Good working knowledge of Compliance, KYC requirements and standards.
