The 2gether Cluster are looking to recruit a person to lead the Cluster in supporting schools with attendance.
The 2gether Cluster works with 10 primary and 2 through schools in Meanwood, Chapel Allerton, Chapeltown and Harehills providing support for pupils and their families.
You will work alongside cluster staff and other professionals to support and champion attendance within the 2gether schools. Key to this role is identifying and engaging with vulnerable families providing support to improve school attendance. As well as working with a range of staff in 2gether schools, you will also be expected to build relationships with a wide variety of agencies to ensure the right level of support is delivered and available for families to improve attendance. You will create strategies to re-engage persistent absentees, reduce casual absence as well as supporting families and children to overcome non-attendance difficulties.
Another key duty will be to support allocations, leading on Fair Access requests and in-year transfers. You will assist in the development of a Cluster admissions protocol as well as co-ordinating a Cluster induction package.
You will be required to regularly analyse attendance data to identify issues and concerns within schools and report to the 2gether Cluster Leadership Group (CLG).
You must be highly organised, analytical and able to keep detailed records and case notes. You must also have the ability to communicate with a range of partners, colleagues and families.
This is a varied, challenging but rewarding role as you will be playing a key part in supporting children and families to improve their attendance.
Our cluster is committed to child protection and appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. If shortlisted, you will be required to disclose relevant information regarding criminal history and an on-line search will be conducted. This includes only information publicly available on-line.
