SalaryReed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in a village near Wetherby (YO26) who are recruiting a Bookkeeper to join their small team in a standalone position. You will ideally hit the ground running and have the ability to work independently. Due to the location, it is essential that you drive/have own transport. The working hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the accounts payable function
- Bank reconciliations and control accounts
- Processing sales and purchase transactions
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Intercompany charges
- CIS returns
- Dealing with client queries
- Creating and processing invoices
- Payroll journaling
You will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar role
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Experience with Xero (desirable)
- Keen eye for detail
- Drives (desirable)
