Bookkeeper

A great opportunity has come up in the Richmond area for an experienced Bookkeeper. This role will support two well-established SMEs; one representing luxury retail brands with international offices and partners worldwide and one software and training consultancy. The role is based on-site with a collaborative team culture and scope for future career development due to the strategic growth plans for both sides of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely to support the Finance Manager and Directors
• Helping to prepare monthly Management accounts, such as deferred income reconciliations, margin reports, commission calculations
• Bank reconciliations, maintaining Stripe reconciliations for ecommerce purchases and credit card transactions
• Maintaining sales and purchase ledger
• Dealing with fixed asset register reconciliations
• Supporting the business with inventory management
• Credit Control (running reports and contacting customers, reporting to management)
• Managing accounts queries and liaising with third-party providers, outsourced bookkeeping services, clients and suppliers
• Assisting in preparations for the weekly finance meetings (supplier payments, sending remittance information, general queries)
• Support for management of intercompany accounts and cross-charges

Requirements:

• Experienced and capable bookkeeper used to fast-paced commercial environment
• Xero accounting software
• Excellent Accounting Knowledge (AAT level 4 or equivalent)
• Enjoys collaborative working with colleagues and suppliers
