Business Development Manager – Direct, Transactional and Hybrid Mail + Postage
£50,000 + Generous comms

Due to recent investment, this industry leading manufacture of mailing solutions is looking for a proactive new business sales person to join its team.
It’s looking for a true hunter, someone who is proactive with significant experience in new Business Development, professional client relationship management with an excellent understanding of the techniques in print, direct mail, transactional mail, and digital platforms.
Using your prior experience in selling Direct Mail, Transactional Mail or Hybrid Mail, you will use your dynamic sales style to source and secure new business opportunities.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with the companies targets
- Identify new business opportunities to sell the full range of services: Direct Mail, Hybrid Mail, Transactional Mail, UK & International Postage
- Build and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and newly onboarded clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client projects
- Grow and develop new customers by effectively quoting, converting leads, and serving as a key point of contact
- Regular contact with existing customers to develop the spend, frequency of use and profitability for the company under the guidance of the Sales Director
- Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction to increase probability of retention
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge
For your application to be successful you will need:
- Spent the last 3 years selling Direct Mail, Hybrid Mail, Transactional Mail and Postage (either one of these or a combination of services)
- Knowledge of postal services and products across DSA and Royal Mail is essential
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Salesforce experience is preferable
This is a field/homebased role, you will be expected to travel for client meeting as and when required with the occasional visit to HO.
