About the role:
To own, develop and manage the customer pricing process, which covers national domestic and international mail price increases and specific customer rate reviews. Administer non-standard contact specific invoice processes, manage Sales commission and bonus schemes and conduct internal audits
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the national domestic mail price change process in collaboration with IT system specialists, including the calculation of new rates, notification of rates to customers, uploading and testing of revised rates.
- Conduct the national international mail price change process, including the calculation of new rates, notification of rates to customers, uploading and testing of revised rates.
- Maintain customer profitability and pricing models to enable the quoting of new customers and the review of rates for existing customers.
- Oversea the customer rate review process and ensure compliance to agreed processes by both Sales and the Finance rate management team. Provide training where required.
- Ensure the accuracy of rates within the mail invoicing systems. Investigate and correct cases of failed or inaccurate invoicing.
- Carry out ad-hoc and non-standard pricing processes ensuring these are completed accurately to agreed company or contractual deadlines.
- Calculate performance metrics and administer the payment of Sales commission and bonus, and out of hours operational support payments, in accordance with the agreed company schemes.
- Conduct biannual internal audits of pricing and revenue management processes
The ideal candidate will have:
- Confidence in using all Microsoft Software packages, but in particular high proficiency in the use of Excel including the use of VBA to programme macros
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of using MS Access or SQL and MS Power Bi and a working understanding of DSA Mail processes would be a distinct advantage, but is no essential
