Job Description
The Business Partner Communications Manager will play a key role supporting the Group Director of Colleague Communications & Engagement, working in close partnership with senior business leaders, particularly in support functions including IT, HR and Finance.
The successful candidate will require [some] business transformation communications experience, as the company continues to transform and grow. They will also be confident developing and developing and implementing complex communication strategies and plans, as well as engaging key messaging, announcements, Q&As and other pertinent content.
The role will have a particular focus on providing communications support for senior business leaders across the Group, including the CFO, CPO and CIO, along with their respective senior leadership teams.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Group Director of Colleague Communications & Engagement to develop and implement communications strategies for key Business Functions including HR, IT and Finance.
- Engage and counsel various internal teams and key stakeholders to ensure the Group's messages are consistent, engaging and effectively communicated to target audiences.
- Provide communications support around transformational change programmes for LGC Group, working closely with relevant senior leaders and communications team.
- Work with communications colleagues to embed LGC’s corporate narrative across the Group.
- Develop highly engaging communications campaigns, ensuring content is impactful on internal communications channels.
- Provide communications counsel and support senior leaders with thought leadership and communications skills [including presentation/ message] training.
- Support internal communications channel management, to ensure MYLGC intranet and other internal channels are effective, engaging and impactful.
The role offers the flexibility of being either hybrid, home/office based in either the UK, US or Canada.
Qualifications
- Experience of corporate/internal communications gained from in house and/or agency roles.
- Some Business Partnering and transformational change communications experience.
- Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, life science, marketing, or a related field.
- Able to navigate and network in complex global matrix organisations.
- Confident advising and supporting senior leaders, including C-suite executives.
- Can develop /implement employee engagement/ communication plans.
- Writes and conveys complex information that is both accessible and engaging for audiences.
- Self-sufficient and IT savvy.
- Confident developing content such as corporate presentations, narratives, key messages, Q&As etc.
- Technical and editorial experience developing and editing intranets, websites and social media channels. Video content development/ editing experience an advantage.
- Budget management.
