Job Title:General InsuranceCompliance Consultant
Reports to: Head of Consultancy
Location: Home Based
Purpose: The Compliance Consultant, reporting to the Head of Consultancy, delivers proactive compliance consultancy services to clients, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. The role involves building client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and promoting additional services.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage contractual requirements for assigned clients.
- Organize and deliver effective consultancy services.
- Build a positive client reputation and explore additional service opportunities.
- Support the wider team in line with the business strategy.
- Stay informed on regulatory issues and promote cross-selling opportunities.
- Share responsibility for CRM accuracy.
- Support customer events/training and represent the firm at industry events.
Core Activities:
- Provide pragmatic compliance advice and remedial actions.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- Identify trends and breaches of regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and present at Compliance Workshops/Webinars.
- Participate in business projects and maintain knowledge of the business model.
- Collaborate with other units for smooth service delivery.
- Negotiate client renewals and provide relevant MI.
Skills and Experience:
- Financial services compliance experience in the GI sector.
- Experience in General Insurance brokerage/insurer.
- Wide-ranging knowledge of FCA Rules and Principles.
- Strong organizational and client service focus.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detailed knowledge of products and competitors.
- Effective prioritization and planning skills.
- Proactive team player with independence.
- IT Skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office and online conferencing.
Essential Education/Qualifications:
- Robust knowledge of compliance standards and governance frameworks.
- Fundamental Principles of Insurance.
- FCA, (and/or PRA), ICO, and CMA Regulations: Level 3.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree level education.
- ACII or General Insurance qualification.
- Compliance or Supervisory qualification.
