Credit Control Supervisor

SF are working exclusively with a very successful family run services business, with several offices across the UK, including in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol alongside several other smaller sites. This role is situated at their offices in Walsall, working in a small friendly finance function, overseeing 1 Credit Controller (this is likely to grow) and reporting into the Financial Controller.
In your new role

• Manage the risk to the business, overseeing/reviewing limits on accounts, and managing the level of insurance on accounts
• Provide weekly and monthly reports for finance and wider the business, including KPIs around projected cashflow, problem accounts/escalations etc
• Hands on role managing some of the ledger alongside the Credit Controller - (Apply online only) live accounts
• Proactively chasing customers, resolving any queries before due date
• Daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation
• Raising invoices and credit notes
• Working with the wider business to resolve queries fast and get the cash in
• Training and developing the Credit Control Team
• Working with 3rd party insurers, solicitors/collection agents when required.

What you'll need

• Strong understanding of Credit Control in a B2B, businesses to business, commercial environment
• Good people skills, ability to business partner and influence people across the business
• Good excel skills
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a team, and prioritise work to hit targets
