Key tasks and responsibilities Contacting customers to request/ chase payments.
Resolve/ communicate invoice queries with the appropriate department.
Raise credit notes as required.
Open new customer accounts and preform credit checks in line with the internal procedure.
Allocate payments received and maintain tidy ledger accounts.
Managing petty cash.
Posting cashbooks
Data entry.
Issue debt collection procedures.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
Intrastat Reporting
Skills and Qualifications Significant experience of working within a busy financial environment with relevant experience in a sales ledger role.
Excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft excel.
Good commercial acumen, integrity, and credibility.
Solid team working skills.
Ability to prioritise and focus on what needs to be done over what should be done.
Good attention to detail.
Disclosure Scotland check (cost will be met by the company)
Experience working with manufacturing.
Accounting qualification or part.
Experience of working in an environment which conforms to management standards, such as ISO9001.
