Join our dynamic and forward-thinking client in the media industry, who pride themselves on delivering exceptional experiences to their clients and partners. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join the team.
As a Credit Controller, you will be instrumental in managing our accounts receivable process, ensuring timely payments from our clients, and maintaining strong relationships. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in communication and is committed to achieving financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct effective collection chases primarily via email, complemented by necessary phone calls for non-responsive or complex accounts. Aim for a minimum of 30 activities per day to optimise cash flow.
- Perform bank reconciliations and accurately allocate funds to awards entries, utilising Google Sheets initially and transitioning to Salesforce closer to event dates.
- Proactively escalate any problematic accounts to relevant internal stakeholders for prompt resolution, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Communicate any invoice amendments to the invoicing team and ensure accurate allocations to the sales ledger team.
- Manage vendor setups and oversee invoice processing, demonstrating proficiency in phone-based communication when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable, with a solid understanding of collection processes and financial reconciliation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Google Sheets, Gmail, and payment processing systems such as SecureTrading, Trust Payments and Adyen.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to proactively address issues, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Preferred experience in phone-based communication and customer service.
