Role Credit Controller

The Role: Our client have two businesses located in Lisburn, Dublin and Sligo who specialise in pressure pipeline sales and services across the whole of Ireland.
Our client is growing its team across the country and are looking for a confident and outgoing Credit Controller to work in our sales/accounts department, providing exceptional support to ensure the debt management is professionally managed with our clients who are located across Ireland.
As a Credit Controller, you will administer the credit control function for the APP Fusion Group, ensuring all outstanding debts are collected on time. You will be critical in managing our credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payment collection and minimising credit risks.
You will work with and report to the finance manager on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the credit control across an existing portfolio of customers/clients for the group.
- Build a basic understanding of the businesses, the products and services to be better informed when chasing payment of the invoices.
- Develop relationships with existing customers to understand their operation
- Issue monthly account statements to all accounts
- Chase outstanding invoices/book debts by telephone, email and/or letter in line with an agreed schedule.
- Dealing with invoice queries
- Updating of accounting system when monies are received to ensure accounts are up to date
- Hold monthly debtors meetings with management to keep the team up to speed of payment status
- Good telephone manner essential Chasing up outstanding debts via Phone
- E-mail/Letter Liaising with Debt Collection Company Producing/Preparing Spreadsheets
- Monthly Reporting to Accounts Manager on position of Debt Control, both Lisburn and Dublin.
Essential requirements:
- Basic knowledge of MS suite of software, Excel, Outlook & Word
- Good numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities
- Able to keep calm under pressure and a diplomatic but firm manner
- Proficient data entry and processing skills
- Must have own car
Hours of work: TBC
Salary: £20,000-£30,000
