They currently have a permanent vacancy for a Credit Controller to join the small and friendly team in what will be a busy and rewarding role!
After successful completion of probation, the successful candidate will be able to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Sales Ledger mailbox and telephone line.
Work with colleagues/sites to resolve customer queries as required.
Respond to customer queries/requests in a timely and professional manner.
Compile and send ad-hoc reports to Assistant Accounts Manager as required.
Create and send customer statements of account.
Review the aged debt balances and resolve aged items as quickly as possible.
Chase payment of debts via the telephone or e-mail ensuring positive customer relationships are built and maintained.
Work closely with Accounts Assistant to ensure ledger housekeeping is completed as needed.
Resolve queries raised by Accounts Assistant when they are unable to allocate incoming receipts.
Compile and circulate weekly forecast of expected receipts over next 6 weeks.
Manage escalation where required of overdue debt items.
Obtain customer credit report data from Creditsafe as required.
Monitor customer correspondence and behavior, flagging anything indicating a change in the company or their payment ability.
Review any alerts from Creditsafe advising a change and ensure appropriate steps are taken as needed.
Process write-off journals as instructed by Assistant Accounts Manager.
Support Assistant Accounts Manager with compilation of monthly Risk Reporting, Divisional Managers ADR and Bad Debt Provision as requested.
Provide support with month-end processes as required.
Candidate Attributes:
-Previous Credit Control experience is essential
-Excellent telephone manner
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Confident in time management and prioritisation
-Competent in all Microsoft applications; including Excel, Outlook and Word
Hours: Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5pm
