An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Customer Support Team for Atlas Copco Power Technique Customer Centre located in Hemel Hempstead. Atlas Copco Power Technique needs to recruit on a temporary 18-month contract a Customer Service Supervisor to be based in our Hemel Hempstead offices. Your mission is to contribute to the development of Power Technique in the UK and Ireland to become a market-leading service provider ensuring that we always provide a first-class Customer Service experience. As PT Customer Service Supervisor, you will contribute to the profitability of the Atlas Copco Power Technique business through the provision of active sales and service administration and support to both customers and colleagues. You will drive the business with customer focus helping to improve efficiency, profitability and growth. You will act as a supervisor and mentor to your reports and actively develop them. This is a temporary position for 18 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the PT Customer Service Manager in the running of the department, with a focus on supervising the Customer Service team and the processing of our Capital Sales orders.
- Process and proactively expedite customer orders efficiently, accurately and in a timely fashion to meet company and customer requirements.
- Working closely with the sales team and manufacturing/distribution facilities to process complex orders for equipment and spare parts.
- Efficient management of all stock held at various locations, regular stock checks, scrapping & obsolescence procedures.
- Configure customer quotations for standard parts and equipment.
- Liaise with internal and external colleagues to expedite customer requirements, for example, pricing queries, order queries, invoice queries, delivery information, etc.
- Handling of customer stock returns/credit notes/returns to distribution centres.
- Provide a proactive approach to customer care, always looking for continuous improvement.
- Strive to constantly improve systems and processes and deliver a better customer experience – a smarter way to work.
- Update and maintain system master data.
- Undertake special project work and ad-hoc work as required.
- Ensure clear communication between PT Customer Service and other departments.
To succeed, you'll need:
- Experience working within a Customer Service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organising skills.
- Can manage and prioritise workload
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Experience working with SAP.
- Have a good level of PC knowledge including Microsoft 365 applications.
- Good English and Maths skills
- Customer-focused: Maintain a clear focus on customer satisfaction; Be a true "hands-on" person when needed to meet the expectations of the customer.
- You must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
