Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Data Privacy Manager on a part time basis (3 days a week or equivalent). They operated hybrid working with the person needing to be onsite 1-2 days a week.

The Role
As Subject Matter Expert for Data Privacy, you will undertake a broad and proactive role in evaluating, advising and implementing initiatives to improve the maturity.Specifically you will:
- Develop and implement data protection policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments, and identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Critically assess the effectiveness of data protection systems/controls.
- Provide privacy training and awareness programs for colleagues to ensure a culture of data protection within the organisation.
- Manage and respond to data breaches and privacy incidents promptly and efficiently.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and their data processing activities for compliance.
- Share information and insight to senior management on Data Protection risk and advice on the steps in place to mitigate these.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation, standards and guidance, and providing updates to senior management
The Requirements
As the SME in Data Privacy for the business you will have undertaken a similar role previously. With a strategic outlook, you will be:

- Curious for learning about new technology, industry best practices, and areas of risk, analysing and turning new insights into concrete action;

Any Data Protection/Privacy certifications,such as CIPP or CIPM, would be beneficial, though not essential
