We are currently recruiting for a newly created Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist vacancy, working in the London office of a leading US law firm.
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist will be responsible for working with the global DEI team, to support the Firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including the development of practices to recruit, retain and promote diverse attorneys and business professionals, coordination and implementation of firm efforts to support an inclusive culture.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Supporting firmwide diversity committee and affinity group management and administration
- Leading the communications, event planning and logistics for firmwide DEI programming
- Supporting in data collection and reporting for certifications, surveys, and internal requests
- Leading on special projects
- Utilising industry diversity databases and internal metrics to produce timely and accurate data reports
- Ensuring the support of and outreach to law school identity-focused organisations
- Proactively building relationships with different stakeholders across the firm
- Assisting with the firm’s diversity hiring efforts
- Collaborating in budget planning for the department
- Keeping abreast of industry DEI trends and best practices
- Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvements
