The Burford Recruitment Company are working on behalf of a UHNW family who are looking to appoint an outstanding private PA / EA to join their vibrant and busy household team, covering all aspects of estate management and private affairs.
The ideal candidate will be seeking a challenging role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial, high calibre family. You will be a diligent, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills a self-starter, able to think ahead, be adaptable and resilient!
The working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Tuesday to Saturday with significant out of hours support. There is accommodation available if needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for private correspondence: filtering mail, summarising messages and requests in order of priority, prompting the family on responses/feedback and drafting letters/memos
- Extensive travel co-ordination for the family (chauffeur, helicopter, private jet etc)
- Complex diary management for the family
- Oversee the management of staff and ad hoc contractors
- Manage all rental arrangements
- Provide HR support for all staff
- Organising key events
- Supporting on wider projects for example organisation of maintenance and redecoration projects at properties
- Processing of invoices and expenses
- Management of extensive contacts database including key events/dates for friends and family
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A personable and versatile approach with prior experience of supporting a UHNW private family
- An ability to prioritise is key, as is the ability to manage a broad range of tasks from structured e.g. diary management to creative, event coordination and communications
- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills; ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders and able to present information in a clear way to different audiences
- A proven team player with the ability to lead
- High energy, resilient, and pragmatic; able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Flexible and adaptable to developing, changing and complex environments; able to deal with ambiguity and navigate confidently without direction
