Salary up to £28,000 Dependant on Experience
Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-17.00pm & Friday 8.30am to 16:00 pm- Half an hour lunch break.
Please note that plus such additional hours as required in the course of carrying out necessary duties including overnight stays and travel.
Full training will be provided, including a specific 2- day course and written exam for the HAV qualification to ensure the successful candidate fully understands the range of Tools and services are provided
Job Purpose:
To carry out HAV testing on vibrating Power Tools at our customer sites all over the country and record data. To carry out servicing and repairs on electric and pneumatic tools at our Daventry facility and provide.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to the customer's sites and carry out vibration testing on Power Tools in use, in accordance with ISO5349-1:2001.
- Record results and input data into report format.
- Strip, service and repair a range of pneumatic and electic ower tolls when not off-site testing according to manufactures specifications
- Record customer's Power Tool details on spreadsheets and raise job tickets for repairs
- Provide support and technical advice for customers.
- Monitor stock levels for MTS products, spares etc.
- Become fully conversant with MTS systems.
- Provide updates on supplier performance and promptly advise of any issues arising.
- Aid in organising tool service scheduling.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by senior management.
Candidate Specification:
- A understanding of Hand Arm Vibration testing methods and Power Tool Repair.
- Must be prepared to travel and stay away from home for period of times - Candidate will have the use of a company pool van for travel to customer premises.
- A clean driving license is essential.
- A confident approach in front of customers and a understanding of customer service ethos whilst representing company.
- Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent
- Have worked with Power Tools and know how to use them safely.
