FINANCE ASSISTANT – North Down Area
SALARY: £22,000 per annum
EMPLOYMENT: 20 – 37.5 hours, hybrid, 12-month fixed-term contract
Reed Accountancy is partnered with a fantastic organisation in the North Down area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to work 12-month fixed-term contract basis.
Playing an integral role within the accounts team, the successful Finance Assistant will deliver professional and efficient financial support and associated administrative support to meet the operational needs of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process invoices/credit notes accurately to the accounts system
- Maintain database of suppliers and customers for organisation
- Pay suppliers to an agreed timetable and within the supplier terms.
- Complete and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Posting and allocation of all bank transactions
- Process credit card purchase requests NI and ROI
- Manage petty cash and debit cash cards for the organisation.
- Complete bank lodgement and update Fixed Asset register for NI and ROI
- Assist with updating the bank mandates for the organisation.
- Participate in and contribute to internal and external auditing processes.
- Assist with month end processes.
- Assist with Head Office Health and Safety compliance.
What you’ll need to succeed!
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
- Experience of Excel (e.g. creating and maintaining spreadsheets, using formulae etc.)
- Have a minimum of two year’s recent experience of working in a finance or admin office.
- Must have the right to live and work within the UK.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in an accounts payable role.
- Posting, allocation and reconciliation of bank transactions
