The Role
Working within a small Financial Accounts team you'll provide a professional accountancy service, playing a lead role in both tactical and strategic and providing advice and guidance to business leaders around business finances and tax affairs. With this being a new role in an explanding business there is a good deal of scope to add value and make improvements to processes, schedules and output.
- Update and reconcile all balance sheet accounts for all entities.
- Manage the accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with the annual Statutory Audit; liaise with external accountants.
- Complete and submit VAT Returns.
- Ensure timely payment of all tax and VAT liabilities.
- Ensure that all partner accounts are accurate, up to date and reconciled.
- Provide support in tax affairs for both the practice and individual partners.
- Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations together with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and financial performance.
- Provide support for future business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
The Person
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified By Experience - open to candidates trained in either practice or industry
- Exposure to personal and corporate tax work is desirable but not essential
- Experience in both preparing for and managing audits
- Commercial, client centric perspective with a proven track record and high standard of technical delivery
- Exceptional analytical skills and impeccable attention to detail
