Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a not-for-profit organisation in the heart of Glasgow city Centre in the recruitment of an interim Financial Accountant.
The role has been created due to several factors affecting the finance function within the organisation. The organisation are currently going through a system implementation which will ultimately affect all departments within the organisation not least finance. At present there are a number of the team who are involved in the project and as such they need to employ a Financial Accountant for a period of approximately 6 months.
The role will report into the financial controller although will be a highly autonomous role with minimal supervision. You will be working with various stakeholders within the organisation and will be the point of contact for an impending year end.
The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide financial accounting services to the organisation and work with key stakeholders internally and externally in the completion of year end accounts, statutory accounts and maintain records relating to the organisations pension plan, fixed asset register and investment appraisal`s/investment reporting. You will also be required to liaise closely with the audit team and provide information & review recommendations.
The Requirements
We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant who ideally has been trained within an accounting firm and who has either transitioned into a role in industry or who has specific not for profit audit experience. This is a high profile role where candidates will be working on their own initiative. Applicants will be required to showcase their ability to use their initiative and proactive approach. This will be a busy and rewarding role and ideal for a candidate who has contracted in the past. In addition, applicants will need to have excellent Excel skills and be confident in using tools such as pivot tables, v-look-ups etc.

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 80% in the office and 20% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office. If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
