Impact Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our client based in Corby. The main function of the role will be to manage and maintain the sales ledger and credit control functions, support with the purchase ledger, produce reports, month end support, fulfil any administrative tasks according to business needs. This position would suit someone who has a strong background working within a finance team, with strong IT skills (specifically Excel), and a willingness to take ownership of several key functions within a finance team.
Working as part of a team of 3, you will have frequent communication with colleagues, company management, suppliers, and other third parties, and help prepare month end reports and weekly management accounts.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Maintain all accounting systems and procedures within the company, updating financial records using Sage and SAP.
- Raising sales invoices and sending customer statements in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to all day-to-day issues or queries.
- Issue weekly management accounts in a timely manner.
- Ensure month end reports are produced and submitted promptly and accurately.
- Participate in internal meetings as required.
- Support the Senior Financial Controller, and other business areas with ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Key experience and skills required for the Financial Controller:
- A proven background within accounts, specifically sales ledger and credit control.
- Some experience within purchase ledger would also be advantageous.
- Strong IT proficiency, specifically a good working knowledge of Sage 50, Excel, and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to liaise and build rapport with third parties and colleagues across the business.
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A background in logistics would be highly advantageous but is not a requirement.
- Previous experience working with SAP and any WMS/transport management systems.
- AAT qualification or similar is desirable.
Our client is ideally looking for someone to start immediately, but are happy to wait a notice period for the right candidate.
This role is office-based from Monday to Friday, working from 08/30 - 16.30 (with a 30-minute lunch break).
