Job Description
- Prepare comprehensive management accounts, reports, budgets, and financial statements.
- Record financial transactions, especially for projects, departments, and the entire company.
- Champion cash flow forecasting, ensuring alignment with group cash flow management.
- Manage supplier and contractor payment runs, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic finance team.
- Support in the escalation of overdue debt collections.
- Oversee financial administration and internal audits.
- Contribute to wider group initiatives when required.
- Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting for long-term horizons.
- Play a key role in the annual budgeting process.
- Recommend cost-cutting methods and strategies.
- Support financial analysis and integration aspects of acquisitions and strategic projects.
- Control and forecast income and expenditure.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
Our ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a track record of success. Proficiency in SimPRO or similar job costing ERP systems, coupled with experience in Sage 50, is highly beneficial. The successful individual should possess excellent analytical and numerical abilities, a sound understanding of business, and the capability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels. Effective communication, teamwork, and multi-business experience are key attributes.
