Financial Controller/ Finance Manager, FD Designate Role - circa £70,000 - £80,000 Office Based (St Albans area)

Are you keen to work with a supportive CFO within a hands-on environment where you can really put your stamp on the finance function and ultimately grow into the FD role?

Our established client has recently made the decision to bring in a Financial Controller/ FM to oversee finance and a small team while working with the retiring FD over a period of time. You will play a major part in ensuring that systems, processes, and procedures are efficient and that you are producing accurate and reliable information for the Board and US owners.

In addition to the normal finance functions there will be a wide range of EU & UK tax, product, and environmental regulatory responsibility as well as other non-core administrative matters.

There will be extensive liaison with the non-finance people, and you will divide your time between running the financial function of the business and getting involved with developing the non-financial areas.

The role is very hands on and requires an open and can-do attitude.

Eventually the role will expand to take on more strategic responsibilities across the business.

You will be a strong communicator who can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and you will ideally be a qualified accountant. Experience within manufacturing and/or import and export would really help. You must have a good working knowledge of Excel to an advanced level.
