Job description
Joining as a graduate, you can expect real variety here in Deal Advisory. And on this programme you’ll join either our Deal Analytics or Technology in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. You’ll be undertaking client-facing work, providing advice, and adding value at every stage of the deal cycle – including on some very high-profile deals. Joining our Deal Analytics team within Deal Advisory will give you the opportunity to use data-enabled solutions that make a meaningful and positive difference for clients across a wide variety of industries. The team uses big data tools and KPMG’s own analytics platforms to transform large volumes of financial data into user-friendly insights. These are used to provide clients with actionable advice on what really boosts performance. The team focus on customers, products, and other areas including, sustainability, revenue, pricing, profitability drivers, concentration risk, ‘winners & losers’ and wallet share. You’ll develop your skills and build your experience across these areas, with the support of your team.
Joining the Technology in M&A team, you’ll be part of a growing and dynamic team with ambitious growth plans. The team work globally with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology challenges in M&A transactions. Alongside this the team continue to develop technology-enabled in-house tools to best support our clients. Working with our colleagues in Deal Advisory, you’ll be providing an integrated and value-adding service to our clients, supporting them to make their transactions successful in a world of increasing complexity.

The CFAB qualification is part of the ACA Accelerated Programme, which is a front-loaded study path that uses innovative technology and is delivered via a blend of online and in-centre classroom courses. The ACA Accelerated programme enables you to upskill quickly so you can make your mark. You will complete just the initial level of the ICAEW ACA qualification, CFAB or the Certificate in Accounting Finance and Business, which will give you a good understanding of business, finance & accounting, and is highly valued in organisations around the world. The ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting & Business (ICAEW CFAB) teaches practical skills and essential knowledge in accounting, finance and business.
In the remaining two years of your training contract, you will concentrate on building up a fantastic range of work experience and will have the technical knowledge to apply to your role in the workplace. The entire programme is supported by a wide range of mechanisms that will be applied by your tuition provider (BPP) and KPMG’s dedicated Early Careers Development team. This newly designed programme has been structured with you in mind and truly empowers you to accelerate your learning journey at KPMG.
