Position Overview:

My client is seeking an exceptional leader for our Group Data Platform to guide us towards a federated model with local ownership on a Group-governed platform. This role oversees the design, architecture, engineering, and all technological aspects of our Data Platform. You will manage a technical team and ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects and business initiatives. A collaborative leader, you will influence data staff globally to align on a shared data technology and platform trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Guide Platform architecture to ensure products are developed in alignment with Platform strategy and standards. Oversee performance, monitoring, execution, and issue management for the Platform.
• Best Practices: Implement software and data engineering best practices and standards.
• Delivery Assurance: Ensure the delivery of data products and services meets business requirements, and that these products/services are secure and reliable.
• Business Value Focus: Drive real-world focused Data Platform development with business value at the forefront.
• Innovation and Growth: Identify new insurance products or innovative ways of insuring to spot potential opportunities and drive business growth.
• Market Analysis: Analyse market and competitive conditions to strengthen the Data Platform's market position.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven track record in deploying emerging data technology stacks such as MS Fabric and AI.
• Expertise in MS Azure, Databricks, MS Fabric, and related technologies.
