SARSAS provides trauma-informed support and resources to individuals who have experienced sexual abuse and violence. They believe in empowering survivors and promoting healing through education, advocacy and access to resources.
SARSAS is an organisation that innovates and drives systemic change, delivering ground-breaking Learning Disability and Autism services and working at the forefront on emerging issues like sibling sexual abuse and abuse of older women. It’s an incredible organisation and we’re looking for a forward-thinking, passionate service delivery lead to join this collaborative senior leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.
Salary: £50,000
Location: Hybrid, from Bristol/home and able to work and travel across the locality
Contract: Full time, interim 12 months with potential for extension

About the role
This is an amazing opportunity to join the SARSAS team as interim Head of Services during a time of organisational transition with a new CEO in post. The charity has been through significant growth in recent years, so they are looking forward to consolidate and build upon these achievements over the coming year. As a vital part of the SLT, we would love for you to be part of shaping the future.
You’ll help drive organisational strategy forward, ensuring that services are sustainable, accessible, evidence-based, inclusive and survivor-informed, as well as fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong by celebrating and investing in the team.
About you
You’ve got significant experience of leading, motivating and developing service delivery teams, ideally with responsibility for teams of 20+ staff. Whilst you don’t need direct experience in the sexual violence space, it’s important to come with substantial operations experience with skills that are transferable (most likely already experienced in complex needs and trauma).
To provide the team with the right support, you’ll also need:
- Well-developed finance skills, able to manage multiple complex budgets.
- Proven track record of business planning and managing a diverse range of Services.
- Ability to produce written and statistical reports to a high professional standard, with an understanding and appreciation of the value of data for impact.
- Creative, curious, and flexible approach with a willingness to adapt and change priorities accordingly.
- Resilience, organisation and desire to put staff wellbeing and development at the heart of decision-making.
