Hotel Receptionist

* Applicant must live in Plymouth permanently and be available during school holiday periods, summer holidays (planned absences in the year are fine with advance notice given).

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Receptionist to join our team at the Drake Hotel, located by the beautiful seaside and in Plymouth’s city centre. We are a family-run guest accommodation 5 minutes' drive from the ferry terminal. Dating back to the 1830s, it offers free on-site parking and WiFi.

You need to be friendly, positive and able to thrive under pressure to deliver a high standard of customer service from reservation to departure for our guests. Ideally you will be someone comfortable multi-tasking their way through a busy shift, dealing with an array of different guest needs & wants. Some duties to include:

· Meeting and greeting

· Dealing with reservation enquires

· Check guests in and out of the apartments

· General administration

· Dealing with telephone and email enquires

· Cash handling

· Promoting hotel brand and getting positive reviews

Must be computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft outlook would be preferred. Previous Hotel Reception experience is preferred.

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview by management team and if selected, you will be provided an offer and further details about the start date. Training will be provided. We are looking for candidate to start ASAP. Only part-time hours available currently around 15-24 hours a week. This will increase during the busier season as well as opportunities to cover any staff absences.

Salary: From £11.50 per hour
